For some reason another GameJam. Of LOVE!

So, took part in the 1st Babycastles GameJam this past weekend. I think that’s it for rapid game dev for a while. Kinda took it out of me. Especially when the PHYSICS BROKE AT THE LAST MINUTE SO WE HAD TO STRIP THE INITIAL MECHANIC!!!!!111!!!!!

but i digress

The theme of this jam was Love. So, Robert Yang and I worked together to make, er,  LO+VE. A game about working together and separately as a couple to overcome challenges, such as defeating Nazis on the surface of a Bauhaus style poster. To be played by two-people using the same gamepad, or keyboard if you must (this features is less than working). This is the version as of the end of the game, v0.9 if you will, but once we can stand looking at Unity again we’ll polish it up. Because last time we said that it worked out well.

 LO+VE v0.9 (hardcore jam version)

Mac build

Win build

(Web build coming once I can be bothered fixing the input)

OLD NEWS! See this post for the current release

How to play:

Surround the enemies between black and red lines to kill them and increase your score. Being hit reduces the score. Get to the pulsating heart at the end to see how compatible you are!

Gamepad: Each person uses one joystick to move. Clicking the joystick in will start drawing the line (Currently set up for the PS3 controller only, but I think you can tweak it)

Keyboard: Player 1 uses WASD, player 2 uses the arrow keys to move. When either shift key is pressed both players will start drawing.

SOLO PLAY IS EQUIVALENT TO MASTURBATION. (lets see how adding this tag will affect my traffic!)
